You want ChatGPT to summarise a writ of summons, or Claude to compare two versions of a contract. The documents name your client, the other side, a national register number and an account number, and whatever you paste falls under that service's terms. Taking the names out by hand takes longer than the question, and one missed spelling undoes the work. Auryth Pseudo replaces them in your browser, shows what it replaced and why, and keeps the list of who is who on your device.
What happens to a document
Everything below happens on your own device, before anything can be copied out.
It is read in your browser
The document is read and pseudonymised on your own device. Auryth never receives its text, the names in it or the list that links each pseudonym to a name, so it cannot read them, restore them or hand them over.
One person, one pseudonym
J. Vandenberghe and VANDENBERGHE Joris get the same pseudonym, in this document and in every other one in the case file. The answer that comes back still makes sense, and the names go back in the right places.
When unsure, it replaces and asks
Every detail found is replaced, kept or put to you, with the reason shown. A point awaiting your review is already replaced, so doing nothing lets no name out. Legal citations and ECLI references stay as written, so the question still reads.

Drop Word, PDF, e-mail or text files, or paste text. They are read in your browser. A scanned page with no text layer is reported as not read.

Check, then copy
The pseudonymised text appears beside the original, with any points left for your review. Copy stays locked until what you see matches the current text; then paste it into ChatGPT or Claude.

Paste the answer back
The pseudonyms are replaced by the real names, on your device. A pseudonym that appears in the answer but was never sent is flagged and left as it is.

Four interface languages
The app speaks Dutch, French, German and English. Switching changes only the screen; your documents are read the same way whatever language you work in.
Amounts and dates as ranges
A language model rarely needs the exact figure. By default, amounts, percentages and ages go out as ranges and dates as month and year. Dates of birth are always replaced.
Names that are on no list
The recognition model that comes with an account is downloaded once and runs in your browser. It finds names that no rule or list would: a witness in a report, a neighbour in a schedule. Without it, rules and lists still find identifying numbers, dates, addresses and the names you enter.
Identifiers from about 18 countries
National and company numbers for about 18 European countries, IBANs, card and phone numbers, checked against their checksum wherever a public one exists.
Word in, Word out
Headers, footers, footnotes, comments and document properties can be read along with the body text, and each document can be downloaded as a pseudonymised Word file.
A case file under lock
The pseudonym list stays on your device, encrypted with a password you choose that is stored nowhere. Or keep nothing: the list then disappears when you close the tab.

For confidential legal and fiduciary work: lawyers, notaries, accountants and other advisers who want to use a general AI tool on real files without handing over the names in them.
What leaves your device
This is what leaves your device, and what the account service receives.
Your documents are not sent to us
Their text, the names in them, the pseudonyms and the pseudonym list do not go to Auryth and are not stored there. Text leaves your device only when you copy it.
A register of what left
A register on your device lists every time something left it, with its size and the version of the pseudonym list, and every request the app made to the Auryth Pseudo service, with what that request carried.
An account service, hosted in Europe
The service signs you in, delivers the recognition model and counts how many documents and characters you protect, for billing. It never learns which documents. It is hosted in Europe.
