A co-owner's question, a week before the general meeting
A co-owner wants to know who pays for the lift shaft. The general meeting is next week, your syndic contract says you advise, and the answer sits somewhere between the Civil Code, a royal decree, a regional decree that differs between Flanders and Wallonia, and a disciplinary decision you half remember. Every citation opens the source
Every claim carries the provision it came from. Click it and the source text opens in a panel beside the answer. If a reference cannot be opened, the answer says so.
The rules of the right region
Federal law, Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels have different rules on rental, energy performance, soil and permits. The answer rests on the rules of the region your question is about, and this page states where coverage differs between regions.
It shows its working
Under every answer is a record of which sources were searched, which were read in full and which only in summary, and how much of the answer rests on them. You can see that an answer is thinly supported before you rely on it.

You can ask in Dutch, French, English or German. The sources are in Dutch and French, and both are searched whatever language you type in, so a question in French can still turn up a Flemish decree.

What it searches

What it does not contain
The Source Library does contain the statutory provisions on mortgage credit and mortgage security, but no advisory or product-level financing material.
Flemish, Walloon and Brussels rules are not present to the same extent, and the Dutch and French parts of the Source Library are not identical. The same question in a different language can produce a different result.

Where your questions go
Your questions often contain the details of a dispute between neighbours or co-owners. This is where they are processed and what happens to them.
Hosted in Europe
The service is hosted in Europe. Every provider that processes your questions is named in the privacy policy, with what it does for us.
Never used for training
Your input is not used to train models. Where an external provider is involved, this is agreed by contract, and training is refused on each request.
Retention periods and processors
The privacy policy lists how long data is kept, every processor by name, what is stored in your browser and on what legal basis.
